This EfS Curriculum Design manual is full of practical tools, protocols and exemplars that you can use to embed Education for Sustainability (EfS) into your curriculum and instructional practices over time. We begin with the end in mind, with our EfS Framework, Enduring Understandings, Standards and Performance Indicators and introductory power-point slides that unpack the parts of our EfS framework, the fields that inform it, and the other frameworks with which we are aligned. The next sections of the manual include material on assessing curriculum, practice and student work. The last sections include material on EfS curriculum design with exemplars and additional resources we think are useful.
