The goal of our programs and services is to help you create a purposeful and coherent core curriculum across grade levels and disciplines that educates students for a sustainable future.
This is how it works:
The Plan:
The plan includes a conversation with you and your leadership team about your curriculum and organizational policies & practices. We want to understand where you want to go, what your timeline is, where you are now, and what the challenges are. We will share our theories of change, and we will discuss how they correspond to your experience. Then we will work together to craft a plan that, on your timeline, results in a purposeful and coherent core curriculum across grade levels and disciplines that educates students for a sustainable future.
Professional Learning:
Is offered on-site and on-line for faculty, administrators, and other school community members when appropriate.. The classic Cloud Institute’s Introduction to Education for Sustainability (EfS) is two full days and can be followed over time by deeper EfS content sessions, curriculum development, mapping, alignment, integration and assessments for learning, resources and exemplars, strengths assessments, audits and capacity building.
Coaching:
It all begins with your core curriculum. One-on-one and team coaching includes a weekly or bi-weekly cadence of coaching sessions in which I work with faculty and/or curriculum leaders on the courses, units and learning experiences being ‘sustainablized’. As a result of assessments that produce learning, we will periodically analyze student work as evidence of your progress aligning and integrating Education for Sustainability into the core curriculum.
The Process:
We are right beside you and your team the entire time. Jaimie is available for check-ins and will monitor your progress ensuring that you have what you need to produce a purposeful and coherent core curriculum that educates students for a sustainable future.
*All scopes of work, professional learning and coaching are tailored to clients’ needs. They are subject to evolve over time as things change and as the work develops. We will stay in communication and will adjust and iterate as changes arise. Generally, three to five year plans, and one- two-year renewable contracts are the norm.
