Oxford International Curriculum for Sustainability
Now more than ever, teachers are looking for ways to bring the attributes of Education for Sustainability into the classroom, and today’s young people are counting on all of us to learn how to work together to make the shift toward a sustainable future.
The Cloud Institute is proud to collaborate with Oxford University Press to build the Oxford International Curriculum, a vertically articulated series of project-based learning experiences from 1st year to 9th year (K-8 in the U.S.). This comprehensive series includes 9 Project Books, 9 Teacher’s Guides, and professional development support for primary and secondary education.
We wrote the Learning Outcomes and Assessment Framework for the series and are working closely with the lesson authors to make them come alive for students and teachers in classrooms all over the world.
In each grade level, the Oxford International Curriculum for Sustainability series is organized around three main strands:
Living on Planet Earth
Taking Responsibility for the Difference We Make
Making Change
This series is a game changer for schools, students and the world. The more students grow up participating in this curriculum series, the faster we make the shift toward sustainability. Click here to see the details of the International Curriculum series in the Subject Guide.

The Series at the UN Economic Commission for Europe
The concepts underpinning the Oxford International Primary and Lower Secondary Sustainability series were presented by Daniella Tilbury to the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) last June, during a meeting of the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Steering Committee in Geneva.
Daniella highlighted the series as an example of how sustainability education resources can drive best practice and help innovate international frameworks.
