Don’t miss Jaimie’s keynote and workshop!

Keynote

In this keynote session, Jaimie will surface the stark differences between authentic education for sustainability—and the mindsets it deliberately cultivates—and the far more common ways we unintentionally educate for unsustainability.  Jaimie will illuminate examples of curricula and learning outcomes shaped by deeply embedded habits of problem based, linear and mechanistic thinking, and will invite participants to consider the power of relational thinking when educating for sustainability.

Workshop

In this workshop, Jaimie will begin by modelling an audit of a unit plan, and some language pulled from various units.  We will then co-create an “EfS makeover” as we re-work the language to achieve different learning outcomes.  Then participants will have a chance to audit a unit plan of their own, to look for evidence of education for sustainability, and education about and for unsustainability.  Lastly, participants will take initial steps to do an “EfS Makeover” of their own to see how small, intentional shifts in  language and practice can generate profoundly different outcomes.

🌍 Let’s work together to inspire action, collaboration, and leadership for a more sustainable tomorrow.
