PLAYING THE FISH GAME
The Cloud Institute uses The Fish Game to start the conversation about education for sustainability. The transformative learning experience encourages thinking and new ideas about system dynamics and interdependence. Through their experience, the 'players' realize how much their thinking drives their behavior and how much, in the context of interdependence, their behavior makes a difference. .

Once people make this connection between thinking, behavior, and impact, the focus then shifts to what kinds of thinking and behavior will contribute to a healthy and sustainable future, and the concept of sustainability comes alive for them.

In addition to highlighting systems, interdependence, and the importance of thinking and mindfulness, The Fish Game introduces the concept of the commons. The commons include those things upon which we all depend and for which we are all responsible. Fish stocks are a commons. Once people have played and de-briefed The Fish Game, we can draw on their experience over time to make additional learning concrete and applicable.
The Fish Game Online Fundraiser
The Fish Game Online has been accessible online for free for more than 15 years, but it needs an UPGRADE.
Users on Apple iOs devices haven’t been able to play the game, and now with Adobe Flash being phased out, The Fish Game Online may not be available to anyone. BUT, you can help. Your donation today of any amount will go towards the development of a brand new Fish Game Online. We appreciate your support.
