We are excited to announce The Cloud Institute’s new long term collaboration and partnership with the Sustainability Institute at Sequoia Group in Singapore. “We have been planning this for eleven years” said Jaqueline Wong, Executive Director of Sequoia Group and Co-Director of the Sustainability Institute, about our new work together. “The conditions are finally favorable in Singapore for this to happen.” The Singapore Green Plan 2030 has launched and takes Education and Schools seriously as leverage points for sustainability.

The plan for the first year of our collaboration includes:

  • Two 90 minute webinars (held in March 2021) to inform and recruit Singaporeans to build this work with us

  • Two 8 hour Introduction to Sustainability and Education for Sustainability Workshops (planned for June and August 2021) designed for participants to:

  1. Develop a shared understanding of Sustainability and Education for Sustainability

  2. Generate a personal rationale for getting involved

  3. Become inspired and hopeful about contributing to a sustainable future through education

  • One five day Curriculum Design Studio (planned for September 2021) for the early adopters in Singapore who are ready to “sustainablize” their curriculum and instructional practices. The best way to learn is to teach!
