Our work with school systems and higher education institutions revolves around the curriculum, instruction, and assessment aspects of Education for Sustainability, as well as the strategic planning and leadership development that is required for lasting change.

Join us for the popular Introduction to Education for Sustainability (EfS) One Day Workshop or a full week of Curriculum Design and Coaching. Register to access expertise, resources, and tools required to design elegant curricula for use in the classroom, protocols for professional development, or action plans designed to implement EfS change initiatives in schools and communities.
We did it! We reached our goal of raising $5,000 to upgrade The Fish Game Online!

Green Schools Conference & Expo | March 2-4, 2020
The Green Schools Conference & Expo is the premier education and engagement opportunity for teachers, parents, students, school and district staff, educational leaders, building industry professionals, non-profit partners and others who are passionate about the future of green schools throughout the country and around the world.
During this interactive and dynamic webinar, participants will make use of several senses to explore and engage with the multi-layered concepts of equity, economics, and environment. Outcomes include confidence to apply the Three E's as a design and decision-making tool in personal, professional, and cultural settings.
The Cloud Institute is working with partners to build momentum for Education for Sustainability and Youth Leadership in the Hudson Valley!

Here’s a brief timeline of our activities to date:
In 2014 my family bought a small farm in the Hudson Valley to build soil fertility, absorb carbon, clean the air, produce delicious goat cheese, create favorable conditions for Bees and restore and regenerate the land and forest we fell in love with.

How An Idea From Nature Changed Our World

A Children's Story to Engage & Inspire Young People with Biomimicry. Biomimicry is changing our world. What better way to help young people understand it than through stories? These stories are written to support the grades 1 and 2 biomimicry units in the Next Gen Science Standards. Each tells the story of a particular bio-inspired product and how it came to be. The first in the series to be published is The Story of Velcro.
