This Climate Week event will bring together leaders working across energy, technology, research, education, and industry for a panel discussion, working sessions, networking, and an evening reception.

Attendees should meet on the ground floor of 1221 6th Ave. Greeters will be there to welcome guests and take them to the event room.

EnergyNet Panel Discussion | 3:30–4:30 p.m. ET

The panel will introduce EnergyNet, how it works, and what it could make possible for the future of energy infrastructure.

The discussion will include:

  • An introduction to EnergyNet and how it works

  • A live demonstration of the telemetry visible from an EnergyNet

  • A discussion of how UL Solutions and its partners are working together to accelerate the definition of requirements and certifications needed for the safety, performance, and modernization of the U.S. grid

  • A Q&A with the audience

Speakers

The panel will feature:

  • Jaimie Cloud, Founder and President, Cloud Institute for Sustainability Education in New York

  • Jonas Birgersson, Chairman of ViaEuropa and Creator of EnergyNet

  • Max Collins, Senior Researcher, Industrial Electrical Engineering & Automation, Lund University, and Chief Science Officer, ViaEuropa

  • Katja Parker-Akentieva, Director and General Manager, Renewables, UL Solutions

Networking & Working Sessions | 4:30–5:00 p.m. ET

Following the panel, attendees will have an opportunity to continue the conversation through small-group working sessions and networking.

These sessions will include discussions about next steps for advancing proposed EnergyNet pilots in New York and other states, as well as opportunities for participants to connect with others working across the energy ecosystem.

Climate Week Reception | 5:00–7:00 p.m. ET

The event will be followed by a Tuesday evening Climate Week reception, open to all attendees.

Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served from 5:00–7:00 p.m.

The reception is free to attend, but registration is separate and required. The registration link for the reception will be shared after you complete your registration for the panel and working session.
